Fellowship: Old Delhi > New Media

OVERVIEW

This fellowship project is located within the spatial and conceptual dimensions of Old Delhi and what was once the Walled City. Steeped in history and overflowing with modern use, this area of Delhi is inspirational at many levels – social, economic, political and cultural. This fellowship project is an attempt to create new audiovisual content that expresses a compact experience of this area through multiple forms of media, including a live performance.

PARTICIPANTS

The fellowship group is part curated and part awarded, and consists of new practitioners from the domains of visual arts, VJing, film making, electronic music, design and urban thinking.

1. 2 people crew from the VJ collective 4YourEye (Vienna, Austria) – VJ/Film-maker
2. Gaurav Malaker (BLOT) – Electronic Musician / Producer and DJ
3. Nucleya (aka Udyan Sagar) – Electronic Musician / Producer and DJ
4. Ayaz Basrai – Interior Designer and Live Sketching
5. 4 X awarded fellows based on a call for entries and recommendations from peer group.

SCHEDULE

Possible dates: 20th-27th Feb
ruary 2011
5 days of field work + synthesis in Delhi
2 days of studio work + performance preparation
1 performance night and project sharing session in Delhi

PROVISIONS

All fellowship participants will be awarded with travel to the workshop site from Delhi, as well as room and board, local travel, and studio space (where required).

ORGANIZER

This fellowship is organized by Basic Love of Things – B.L.O.T., an electronic music and visual arts collective bringing the Basic Love of Things to India and the world.

WHAT YOU GET
